We offer internship positions within Corporate Sector Information Systems and Services (CI) in Singapore starting in January 2011 for a minimum duration of six months.

CI is the internal service provider for all business units within the BOSCH Group providing all kind of IT solutions, programs and services to the divisions, regional subsidiaries and corporate offices. Singapore is the regional headquarter for CI in Asia/Pacific.

Attending this internship will be an appealing and challenging experience that will enable you to get deep insights into IT-related and strategic topics as well as different Asia/Pacific cultures.

Responsibilities:

• Linux desktop components
• Integration of Linux into our existing IT environment (mail, PKI, network, etc.)
• Office and electronic forms components
• Software distribution and configuration management
• Incident and problem management
• (Multi)-Project work on current topics
• Support for UCS (Unified Communication Services) - VoIP based voice and video calls, conferences and IM

Requirements:

• Enrolled in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Sciences or related courses
• Experience with Linux operating system and different Linux distributions
• Knowledge about networking protocols, services and utilities
• Unix development and system administration
• Several software development skills with either C++ or Java
• High degree of motivation, flexibility and reliability
• Ability to work in teams as well as independent
• Good communication skills
• Enjoys working in a multicultural environment
• Profound knowledge of English
